Susila TamangSushma Tamang (32), assistant manager of 3 Jewels Adventures is a fresh undergraduate in economics from woman's college in kathmandu. She handles the administration affairs at office. She had her schooling in Udayapur, a remote southern district of eastern Nepal. She lives in Kathmandu with her small family accompanied by her husband and daughter. She loves marshal art and traveling into religious sites.

Amber TamangAmber Tamang (35)is the founder manager of 3 Jewels Adventures. Apart from managing his own company, he is the local representative and trip leader of Himalayan High Treks, CA, USA. He was born in a remote village of Solukhumbu lower foothills of Mt. Everest. His tiny village of Tapting is off the trekking route so it's undeveloped and not even mentioned in most of the maps of the area. Up to high school, his schooling was in Sindhuli of southern Nepal where his grand father helped him to study. In 1993, he first ventured to Kathmandu for further study. He holds Masters degree in culture (that includes Indian philosophy, History and Archaeology) and also undergraduate degree in Law from Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu. His career in tourism begun as part time trekking staff from 1993. He has received trainings and participated in different workshops and seminars related to culture and sustainable tourism. He shares his knowledge in this field contributing articles in various publications. In free times he spends his time helping his wife to cook and traveling with his team in to new trekking areas.

Utar TamangUtar Tamang (29) works as Trekking and climbing guiding for 3 Jewels Adventures on contract basis. He works at office while he doesn't have trips out to guide. Utar has visited most of the trekking sector and led many trips around. He is certified guide from NTHAM (tourism academy) and trained in wilderness first aid. Utar has recently received climbing guide training from NMA and has already climbed Lobuche east (6119mtr) on the way to Everest base camp trek, Pisang peak in Annapurna and Tent Peak also in Annapurna region.

Amar Saila TamangAmbar Saila Tamang (31) is one of the very knowledgeable guides at 3 Jewels Adventures. He had missed his school education after primary level, as his family was unable to support him paying the school fees. So he started his career in trekking starting as trekking porter in 1998. Ambar holds certification in trekking guiding from tourism academy (NTHAM, Kathmandu) and wilderness first aid training from Kathamndu Environmental Education Project (KEEP). He is well traveled and knowledgeable guide for most of the trekking trails in Nepal that includes Everest, Langtang, Renzo pass, Ganzala pass Annapurna and Mustang. He is superb cook as well. He also works for Himalayan High Treks, CA, USA as local guide on contract basis for their treks in Nepal. Most of the times he lives with his wife, daughter and brother in Kathmandu.

Dhan Bahadur TamangDhan Bahadur Tamang (33),DB is the marketing representative of 3 Jewels Adventures. He lives in NY, USA. DB also is an enthusiastic mountaineer holding certification from NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association). He has climbed several trekking peaks while he worked as climbing guide before starting to work in the USA.


Nurbu LamaNurbu Lama (32) is one of the very knowledgeable climbing guides of Nepal who have specialized in climbing small and mid range peaks from 5500mtr to 6600mtr (between 18000ft to 2100ft) which are also known as trekking peaks. He had completed Mountaineering training from Nepal Mountaineering Association with special grade. He has climbed more than 10 trekking peaks that are opened for climbing activities in the Nepal Himalaya and remarkably most of them he climbed more than 3 times with different climbing groups.

Karna B. Tamang KBKarna B. Tamang KB (28) is another young and energetic climbing guide. Apart from learning climbing he has learned trekking guiding. He also practices long distance running during his free time. As a marathon runner he has completed the Everest Marathon that runs between Everest Base Camp (5400mtr / 18000ft) and Namchebazar (3400mtr/11000ft).

Bhim PakhrinBhim Pakhrin (37) Is one of the key team members of the 3 Jewels Adventures. He is from Solukhumbu district of Nepal. He has specialized in Tibet trip operation. He was one of the very first Nepali trip guides to led full-fledged pilgrimage trip to Mt. Kailash apart from local Chinese and Tibetan staff. He has led more than 50 pilgrimage trips to Holy Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar which is unmatchable with any of the other Nepali trip guides. He has successfully climbed Mt. Lakpa Ri and up to 4th Camp of Mt. Everest northern side.

NIMA SANGYE SHERPANima Sange Sherpa (45) is the senior climbing Sherpa at 3 Jewels. In his career in climbing as assistant guide and Sherpa, he has climbed more than 10 different trekking peaks including Mt. Baruntse (7000+meter), Pumori, Amadablam and over 8000mter of Mt. Everest. While not climbing he does support us as trekking sirdar specialized in remote treks and high passes and he helps his family back in the Solukhumbu.

Besides these team members we also employ other cook staff, kitchen staff, porters and yak men as required by the flow treks we book.
