Langtang Valley
 A winding up and down road north of Kathmandu valley is one of the scary driving in Nepal. The road ends up at the small town of Syabrubensi on the bank of Trishuli (bhotekoshi) river from where the trek heads towards east into the beautiful Langtang valley. Unlike Everest and Annapurna, here you find more greenery and have more chance to see wildlife. The trail follows Langtang river upto the Kyanzin gompa the last village at the elevation of 3800mtr. From Kyanzin one can estimate several day hikes above the trekking peaks like Tsergo Ri, Kyanzin Ri and Yala peak. The trek returns pretty much same way back down but it can be combined with Gosainkunda area, Ganzala pass or Tilman pass. Itinerary
Day 01 :
Kathamndu to Syabrubensi by reserved bus Days 02-04 : Trekking to Langtang valley to Kyanzin Gompa. Days 05-06 : Rest and exploration of the area. Days 07-08 : Trekking back to Syabrubensi. Day 09 : Kathmandu. |
